In this video, we will show you how we conduct a remote survey for any inquiry we receive about solar PV systems. Due to the volume of inquiries we receive, it is impossible to visit every property for a measurement. Therefore, we have streamlined our process to make it easier for our customers to get the information they need without any hassle. We start by sending out a form to our customers for more details about their property, and then we use Open Solar, an incredible software that enables us to do a rooftop design.
We will walk you through the entire process, from how we use the software to get a rooftop design to the final proposal we send to our customers. Open Solar is a versatile software that provides us with several views of the property, including a 3D view that gives a better picture of shading, sun paths, and other essential details that are important in solar design. We can also view the property from different angles, giving us a better idea of how many panels can fit on the roof.
Although the software cannot do everything, it gets us 90% of the way there, making it perfect for that first conversation. We can provide customers with financial breakdowns, including the price, kit, data sheets, and other necessary details. Once we have a better idea of what the customer wants, we can make adjustments, such as adding or removing panels or changing the orientation of the panels.
After we have the initial proposal, we follow up with a site survey to ensure the correct measurements are applied to the quotes and the MCs paperwork has the correct numbers. We also apply other important details such as adding the correct inverter and pure drive battery, and once we have all these details, we can send the final proposal to our customers.
