In India, two major language families, the Indo-Aryan languages and the Dravidian languages dominate the linguistic landscape. Between Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, and Telugu, there are no shortages of speakers for these awesome and diverse languages. However, India is also home to some elusive and rare languages. Nihali is an endangered language with only 2,000 speakers, and the controversial Sanskrit still has 14,000 native speakers. Or does it?
