Four Kinds of Vocabulary for IELTS Speaking | English Free Prep | Nirjhar Sir
IELTS Speaking Vocabulary
One of the key problems students face in IELTS speaking test is they can’t come up with a good range of vocabulary while speaking. It’s presumably because there are thousands of words in the dictionary and it’s not practically possible for candidates to get them by heart and apply them in the conversation.
Therefore, I’ve tried to make it easier. Over the years I’ve taught my students about four kinds of vocabulary that help my students do better in the real test. The four kinds of vocabulary are: popular synonym, phrasal verb, idiomatic expression and topic expression. If a candidate can slightly combine them in their conversation, he or she will get more score in this part.
