We’ve all heard of Mr Bean, the comedy icon who dominated European television in the 1990s. But did you know that there’s also a trampoline park in Lonavala named after him?

This might sound fun, but it’s actually being fought as a case of trademark infringement in the Bombay High Court. The court has noted that this is a perfect case of false endorsement. The park is taking advantage of the fame and adoration earned by Mr Bean to get customers.

As of right now, the Court has forbidden the trampoline park from using the name Mr Bean - spelt BEAN or BEEN - and also any artwork that is ‘deceptively similar’ to the registered trademark.

Using a popular trademark to promote your own brand is something we see around us quite often. What are some examples in your area? Share your answers in the comments. And as always, don't forget to like this video and follow us for more!
