Bodycam DUI Arrest - 22-Year-Old Woman Arrested for DUI Even Though She is Adamant She Didn't Drive

On March 18, 2023, Long Branch police officers responded to a motor vehicle accident.  When Patrolman Pellot arrived, he observed a 22-year-old woman exit the driver's side of the vehicle.  However, she claimed repeatedly that she was not driving the vehicle, which struck a parked car.   She also claimed her friend was driving, but this mysterious friend was nowhere to be found.   The body cameras capture Patrolman Pellot and Yutko discussing the situation.  The woman is eventually asked to submit to field sobriety tests (FSTs) and is arrested shortly thereafter.   The argumentative woman lets the expletives fly during the entire ordeal.  She also claims to know supervisory officers at the department and demands that they be called at 3:00 AM.  Unfortunately, the police department did not release any footage to indicate whether the woman submitted to an evidentiary breath test.  Court records show she was charged with Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence and Reckless Driving.  Her case is still open.  All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
