Minutes Before Disaster!

The ill-fated 'Sunset Steam Express' of 22 August 2023, seen at speed shortly after sunset at Worplesdon about ten minutes before the catastrophic failure of the steam loco, 'Britannia', at Chilworth.  There, when climbing the long bank to Gomshall, part of the motion broke, and the train came to an abrupt halt.  The crew had to remove the offending, very heavy elements in the dark before the train could move again, two hours later, when the rear diesel hauled it back to London, arriving at 0240!
