Lucky Shrimp takes ecologically sustainable and antibiotic-free shrimp farming to a new level.

The Lucky Shrimp team is the European innovation leader in sustainable shrimp farming. Our daily efforts are

1) the continuous development of the Biofloc approach
2) the optimization of feed quality and efficiency
3) the creation of the first shrimp larvae hatchery in Switzerland

The approach is highly scalable through the construction of modular hatcheries in existing buildings and facilities, close to where the end products are needed and at competitive prices.

In Q1/Q2, the Swiss company Lucky Shrimp AG is scaling up from its existing chemical- and antibiotic-free pilot shrimp farming facility to a large modular facility, also in the canton of Zurich. This will make it possible to satisfy a larger proportion of the growing demand in Switzerland for high-quality and ecologically sustainable shrimp.

The founders Alexander Dubsky and Andreas Zaugg are joined by their team, consisting of another environmental engineer, a marine biologist, a computer scientist and a mechanical engineer. The experience and expertise gathered in this way are brought together in the realization of the large-scale plant. They form the basis for the further development of ecological breeding and modular plant construction.
