Liquid Helium II the superfluid (part 5 The Rollin film)

A 1963 film by Alfred Leitner demonstrating the remarkable properties of liquid helium when cooled below the lambda point (the superfluid state). This superfluid 'quantum liquid' appears to defy gravity and is able to climb out of any container in a thin film moving at up to 35 cm per sec.
