Samsung acknowledges the affordability concern with its flagship S series and introduces the A Series as a mid-range alternative. The upcoming Galaxy A55 is set to offer flagship features with a 6.5-inch OLED display, Full HD+, and a 120Hz refresh rate. Powered by the Exynos 1480 SOC with an AMD GPU, it shows impressive Geekbench scores, outperforming the A54 significantly.The Exynos 1480 features four high-performance cores at 2.75GHz and four efficiency cores at 2.05GHz, coupled with the RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU. The design is inspired by flagship models, resembling the S23 and S24, with unique elements like a raised side frame for volume and power buttons, providing a premium feel with a metal frame.However, there's still a gap in camera quality between flagships and mid-rangers. The A55 is expected to have a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide, and a 32MP front camera. Unfortunately, the 5MP macro camera may not see significant improvements, maintaining the trend of subpar macro photography in Samsung's mid-range phones.
