Fake note alert: The printing and escalation of fake/forged notes still overcast the transaction when people go on shopping and spending spree. The fake-note syndicates overly active ahead of the Eid festivals to rake in real money by exchanging forged notes by duping ordinary people. The fake note transactions can easily be avoided if you are a bit careful about the security features of authentic notes especially @Tk. 100, @Tk. 500 and @Tk. 1000. Any deviation from one or more of these security features will prove the note as fake and holders of the notes may subject to custody. All banks have been advised to be cautious about forged notes. To prevent fake note escalation, Bangladesh Bank has taken extensive measures together with National Task Force and law enforcing agencies. Any shopkeeper can use portable fake note detector which is worth Tk. 2000 only to avoid fake note transaction.
