The finale celebration for the popular anime "ONE PIECE," which concluded its broadcast on the 29th, took place in Tokyo on the 28th for the new movie release "ONE PIECE FILM RED" (opened August 6, 2022). Voice actors including Mayumi Tanaka (who plays Luffy) and Kazuya Nakai (who plays Zoro) were in attendance.
The 15th installment of the series, with original creator Eiichiro Oda serving as general producer, this fourth entry in the "ONE PIECE FILM" series is set on an island where a world-famous songstress named Uta appears in public for a live concert for the first time.
Uta's singing voice, which she kept secret until now, is described as being from “another dimension,” drawing fans from all over—including Luffy's Straw Hat crew, other pirates, and navy admirals—to fill up the venue. The story unfolds with Uta revealed to be “Shanks's daughter,” a shocking truth that sets off events. With audience numbers reaching 13.79 million and box office revenue surpassing ¥19 billion as of day 10 since release, it has become Japan’s top-grossing film of 2022.
Also present at the event were Akemi Okamura (who plays Nami), Kappei Yamaguchi (who plays Usopp), Ikue Otani (who plays Chopper), Yuriko Yamaguchi (who plays Nico Robin), Kazuki Yao (who plays Franky), Cho (who plays Brook), Katsuhisa Hoki(the second actor to play Jinbe along with Gekko Moriah), and Kaori Nazuka( who voices Uta).
