Our mom cat Joanna is very caring and makes sure her little kittens and foster kitten Blackie are clean. She not only licks them for cleanliness, but also to leave her scent on them. Since newborn kittens cannot pee on their own, the mother licks their bellies to make sure their urinary system is working well. She also does this to warm their little bodies so that blood circulates well throughout the body. But, in my opinion, mom cat also do it because they love them.
Cute kittens Teddy and Chloe really like it when their mommy cat washes them. They lie on their backs and spread their paws out to the sides with pleasure. After their caring mother cat washes them, they curl up together into a fluffy ball and go to sleep peacefully.
