Nilfisk Core 140 hose to lance connection issue @NilfiskUK

My Core 140 is approx 18 months old l and still well within warranty.
The connection between the hose and lance doesn’t engage properly using the retaining mechanism in the lance, therefore when powered I’m the one who gets an early bath and not the subject matter!
