Epic Margarita Drink Recipe:
*1.5 oz Patrón Silver
.75 oz Homemade Cucumber Shrub
*.25 oz Agave syrup
*.75 oz Fresh lime juice
*2 dashes Bitters
+Ice
+Cracked black pepper
+Fanned cucumber spear for garnish
*For the Homemade Cucumber Shrub:
*1 large cucumber
*.25 cup white wine vinegar
*.25 cup apple cider vinegar
*.25 cup pure cane sugar
*.5 teaspoon kosher salt
Make the cucumber shrub: In a food processor, purée the cucumber. Add the white wine and apple cider vinegars, sugar and salt, and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Strain through a fine-mesh strainer. Place in a sealed glass container and refrigerate until ready to use. Makes 11 ounces of shrub. Lasts up to 2 months.
Instructions:
In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine all the cocktail ingredients (except the pepper and cucumber garnish) and shake well. Strain into a large rocks glass over fresh ice. Grind one twist of black pepper on top. Garnish with the fanned cucumber spear and serve.
