INGREDIENTS :
1+1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour
1/2 Cup Rice Flour
1/2 Cup Moong Dal

1/2 Tsp Turmeric Powder
1 Tbsp Red Chilli Powder
1 Tbsp Coriander Powder
1 Tbsp White Sesame Seeds
1 Tsp Cumin Powder / Jeera Powder
1/2 Tsp Carom Seeds / Ajwaein
Salt As Per Taste
2 Tbsp Curd (Optonal)  

Oil For Deep Frying Chakli

METHOD :

1.Rinse the moong dal well
2.Add 1+1/4 Cup of water and 1/4 Tsp turmeric powder in it
  Mix well
3.Pressure cook the dal for 4-5 whistles
4.Add the rice flour in the maida and mix well
5.Transfer the mix flour in a cloth and tie a knot
6.Keep this cloth of bundle in a small container and place it in a pressure cooker
   (We added 1 glass of water in the cooker)
7.Steam it (without whistle) for 10-15 minutes on medium flame
8.Once the pressure go down by itself, mash it well with a spoon
  Keep aside
9.After 15 minutes, take out the cloth and open it
   The flour become hard and big lumps are there
10.Take out in the strainer,sieve and sift it into a flat plate Or a bowl
    Break the lumps using your hand OR a spoon
11.Add turmeric powder, cumin powder, carom seeds, red chilli powder,
   Coriander powder, sesame seeds, salt to taste and mix all the dry ingredients
12.Add the curd and the cooked moong dal
13.Mix them and make a stiff but soft dough
14.Add 2-3 Tbsp(OR as needed) of water in it and knead a dough
15.For making chakli,grease a chakli plate with some oil and fix it
   Grease the chakli machine from inside with some oil
16.Place the prepared dough in the machine and close the lid tightly
17.We use here aluminium foil to shape chakli ,grease it with oil OR water
    You can use a plastic sheet or you can make chakli in a plate
18.Heat the oil in the kadai on medium heat for frying chakli
19.Start shaping chakli into round spiral form by twisting handle
    Pinch the start and end point of the chakli,seal it
20.Once the oil is heated, slid the prepared chakli one by one
21.Fry them on medium heat till the both sides become golden brown and crisp
22.Remove them on the paper napkin in a plate
23.Make and fry the rest of the chakli from the dough in the same way
24.MAIDA MOONG DAL CHAKLI is Ready
Let the fried chakli cool down at room temperature ,then store in an air-tight container
