This Video is based on my recent trip to Pakistan(Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara, Narowal) via Kartarpur Corridor which I completed on 25th of November, 2019. The kind of hospitality and treatment I got in Pakistan was really mind blowing. Everyone in Pakistan was so welcoming and heartwarming that I can’t even describe it in words. Whether it was Immigration Officers, Battery Vehicle driver, bus driver, currency exchangers, or the locals I met, all of them greeted me with immense love and compassion.
First I planned for this trip in last week of December but then I couldn’t wait that much and changed my plan. Both the countries have done tremendous job to make this corridor. However, I would specially like to thank Mr.Imran Khan, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, for making this corridor in record time of 10 months.
I met a lot of great souls in Kartarpur Sahib(Darbar Sahib) which included a lot of youngsters specially students. I also met a few young Pakistani advocates and listened to their views on this corridor and the change they saw in this Gurudwara over the years. Earlier it was more of greenery and now it has more of marble. However, they said both versions can be called beautiful
I also talked to some Sikh Yatris who came from different regions of India. It was a very special moment for all Sikh Yatris as they know that the founder of Sikh community, Guru Nanak Dev ji lived at Kartarpur Sahib for around 18 years before he died here. Earlier Indians could only visit Dera Baba Nanak Sahib Gurudwara(located in Gurdaspur, India) and could watch Kartarpur Sahib Gurudwara using Binoculars. So, this corridor has not only reduced the distance by road but also by hearts.
In my opinion, each and everyone from India should visit this Gurudwara in Pakistan at least once in your lifetime. I am sure once your visit it, your views will definitely change about our neighbor country.
One last thing, whenever you visit Kartarpur Corridor make sure you carry three important things with you :
• Indian Passport
• ETA
• 20 US Dollars in Cash
ETA is available for download 3-4 days before your date of departure and it can be downloaded only after your receive a confirmation SMS on your registered Mobile Number. You can Download ETA from Official Website by clicking on Registration Status, filling up all the information and clicking on Submit.
