These biscottis are crunchy with flavors of almonds in it. It is made without adding butter or oil. These are perfect snack to go with your coffee or tea.

Ingredients:
6 tbsp sugar;
3 tbsp milk;
1 large egg at room temperature;
1/2 tsp vanilla extract;
pinch of salt;
1 cup all purpose flour or maida;
1/3 cup chopped almonds;
1 tsp baking powder

Preheat the oven to 350 degree Fahrenheit or 180 degree Celsius

To toast the almonds:
Spread the almonds on the baking sheet and toast them for 5 minutes or until they slightly change color.
Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.

Line the baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl add flour, salt, sugar, and baking powder.
Combine well using a wire whisk.
Add the toasted almonds and mix well.
In another bowl add egg, vanilla extract, and milk.
Beat well using a wire whisk.
Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix well.
With clean hands knead the dough. You should have a sticky and a heavy dough.
Lightly four the rolling surface and transfer the dough to the surface.
Shape the dough into a log and slightly flatten it.
Transfer the dough onto the baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
The dough should be roughly 8 inches long.
Transfer the log to the oven and bake for 35 minutes.
After 35 minutes take it out and cool completely.( the log should be hard to touch
Reduce the oven temperature to 300 degree Fahrenheit.
Once the log is cool cut into slices and place it on the baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
After 10 minutes flip it over and bake for another 8 minutes.
Enjoy your biscotti by dunking it in your tea or coffee!
