First ever long-acting HIV prevention injection.

Wits University's HIV and Aids wing has applauded the US Food and Drug Administration's approval of the first ever long-acting HIV prevention injection. Pre-exposure prophylaxis or PrEP involves taking an antiretroviral to prevent HIV infection.
