When working with remote high performance computing systems workflow typically includes managing files and folders that are mimicked on a local workstation and remote file system. This short demontration video illustrates the use of sshfs to mount remote file systems (a /home directory on graham.computecanada.ca) so that local tools (e.g. folder browser, gedit, etc) can be used to explore the files and folders. It then shows an example of using Meld locally to intuitively compare the local directory and the mounted remote directory.
