Unique Features of Icom IC-R8500 Communication Receiver!
APF: AUDIO PEAK FILTER--The audio heard if contains noise ,moving the dial enables to to choose clear parts of audio minus the noise!It Notch out Noise!
AFC:If tuned frequency is not correctly tuned, it auto senses and shifts frequency on its own! Press the AFC button in FM/WFM modes and radio takes control of making sure receiving frequency matches proper Audio Quality!
VSC:Radio looks for Audio Signals only while scanning. If Signal doesn't have Human Voice then it skips all Noise, tones,CW etc and continue scanning till it finds Human Voice!
500 ohms Antenna Terminal: has an extra long wire HF antenna Terminal, allowing only 10m copper wire as Broadband antenna use. Apart from this this radio has regular 50 ohms HF and VHF-UHF terminals too.
Optional TV reception Adapter:Icom TV-R7100 TV receiving Adapter is an Optional accessory worth adding on!
