We made an optimal regeneration
We made an optimal regeneration on the highway to the DPF particle filter BMW E60 530 2006 through the BIMMERLINK program;
Regeneration at the DPF particle filter starts automatically when the particle filter is loaded with soot mass over 40g and respects all the points below;
For an optimal regeneration at the DPF particle filter we have to fulfill 5 essential points:
1. The water temperature should be at least 75 degrees Celsius (167 Fahrenheit)
2. Exhaust temperature at least 240 degrees Celsius (464 Fahrenheit)
3. Do not keep the fuel light on
4. No errors on board: air mass system, exhaust system or ECU sensors;
5. Constant speed minimum 60km / h (37mph), optimal speed for correct regeneration is over 100km / h (62mph)
Regeneration indicated for optimal DPF cleaning: After the regeneration starts, the car must run for 20 minutes with a constant speed of over 100km / h (62mph);
