Ashwin Batish, the renowned sitar player, was graciously invited to showcase his Sitar Power Trio at KFJC, the radio station of Foothill College. This extraordinary performance was not only broadcasted but also recorded live by the dedicated recording team at KFJC, utilizing state-of-the-art 4k quality GoPro cameras. The audio was captured in a pristine two-track mix, directly transferred to digital format.

The mesmerizing compositions were masterfully crafted by Ashwin Batish himself, while his son Keshav and longtime collaborator Myron Dove added their own spontaneous improvisations. Ashwin's music is a captivating fusion of Indian classical sitar and western grooves, seamlessly incorporating elements of the drum kit. For this particular performance, Keshav chose to accompany his father with the tabla drums, resulting in a delicate and soothing musical atmosphere.

The show was expertly hosted by DJ Selector and was originally aired on July 10, 2014. All the captivating music featured during the performance is copyrighted under ASCAP ©2014 Batish Records.
