The Johari window is a technique developed in 1955 by psychologists Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham. It can be used to explain the difference between the things you know about yourself compared to the perceptions others have of you. The idea is that the more these perceptions align, the stronger the relationships you build with others.

This episode is the first in a two part series.
Part 1: Explains the Johari window using a quick worked example
Part 2: Discusses how this way of thinking might be applied to understanding the scope of a complex project

The second part is not the way Luft and Ingham intended the model to be used, but I think there are some interesting parallels between understanding a person, and understanding a project. If nothing else its an idea for you to ponder.
