I purchased one of the cheaper inverters for sale on Amazon and was not able to get the AC charging to the battery to work. The inverter can output 3000W just fine using a hair dryer and a heater. It even bypasses the battery just fine as well. Solar charging works. Everything except the much needed AC charging from mains. As you can see, that is an important aspect because you want to charge the batteries if they are low, or perhaps to supplement the solar charging to top up the batteries as needed. So if you DO NOT need AC charging, this could be an option but personally, I rather have all advertised features working in case I would connect it to AC later on.
