I bought the trigger wheel
I bought the trigger wheel at the same time I bought the megasquirt almost a year ago now. It came with directions for a 12-1 tooth wheel that they use to sell. So I tried installing i several times according to the instructions that came with it. Recently I found on their website an updated installation guide for the new 24-2 tooth wheel which is the once I actually have.
In this video I go over the install process, and get the car running with it. The new directions are still not fully correct, but they were close enough for me to work out what wasn't right.
Basically if you already have the motor timed correctly to 15btc with the stock trigger wheel, don't move the distributor. Just replace the trigger wheel and set the tooth 1 angle to 0 instead of the recommended 60 and it should start right up.
This will make sense if you think about it as tooth 1 is TDC and if your distributor is already set to 15 BTDC then setting the angle to 0 will give you the correct timing.
