Not only is the Beartooth Highway one of the most beautiful roads in the country, but you never know what you could come across on the road. Cattle ranching is a way of life out west, and ranchers are permitted to graze their cattle on public lands.

Every now and again, while driving on rural roads, you may come across a cattle drive, as the cattle are moved from one grazing area to another. My friend Cindy Shaffer shot this video while driving the Beartooth yesterday.

If you haven't heard of the Beartooth Highway, or don't know where it is, it runs more or less from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park to Red Lodge, Montana. The scenery is absolutely spectacular!

Along with Dunraven Pass, the Beartooth Highway is the last road in the Yellowstone region to open, because of snow and its high elevation, and the first to close in the fall.
