Hi everyone, it's Thursday! This weeks video is a free crochet pattern to make an adorable fuzzy platypus monster - Platycornicus! His prompts were "monster", "monotreme" and "made out of candy", but I've been calling mine everything from bunyip to gremlin! This is the second pattern in this series, and if you've missed it, you can check out the rest of the series here:

US terminology used
Pieces are worked either in a continuous spiral, or flat, as indicated.
Stitch Glossary:
ss: "slipstitch" - insert hook, yarn over, pull through all loops on hook.
ch: “Chain” - yarn over, pull through only loop.
sc: “Single crochet” - Insert hook, yarn over, pull up loop, yarn over, pull through both loops on hook.
inc: “Increase” - Complete two single crochets into the same stitch.
inc3: "Increase by 3" - Complete three single crochets into the same stitch.
dec: “Decrease over two stitches”- Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up loop. Insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull up loop. Yarn over a third time, and pull through all three loops on hook.
dec3: “Decrease over three stitches”- Insert hook into stitch, yarn over, pull up loop. Insert hook into next stitch, yarn over, pull up loop. Insert hook into third stitch, yarn over, pull up loop. Yarn over a fourth time, and pull through all four loops on hook.
Pattern notation
x[…] Repeat the instructions between the square brackets ‘x’ times.
(…) The total numbers of stitches you make as part of the row/round. Does not include chains or ss.
