PMV- When You're Gone

4th Place in the Drama Category for the 2014 Brony Con PMV Contest and this time IT WASN’T BY DEFAULT!

I’ll be honest I didn’t expect anything for this. Around this time I was in a slump for videos and making this took a lot longer than it usually does. I even made part of a completely different PMV because I wasn’t sure if this song was dramatic enough. But when the message didn’t get across the way I wanted, I went back to my original entry and kept editing it until I couldn’t stare at the screen anymore. So I was ecstatic when I found out this won something. But I’m not the only one who won. My friend DisneyFanatic2364 also won fourth in the Action Category. Here’s the link to her entry. Now regarding the original video: When I first heard this song, I immediately thought of Twilight from Return of Harmony. Because she has been separated from her friends so much, this seemed like something she would sing especially since its a reminiscing song. I also used the black and white to show the contrast between past and present as well as some new effects like the four split screen and glow tool.
