PM Narendra Modi has flagged off 9 new Vande Bharat Express trains today. The new trains will benefit 11 states namely; Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand and Gujarat. Vande Bharat Express is a semi high speed 160 kmph capable all air-conditioned chair car train. Among the launches is also the first Orange Vande Bharat Express which will run on the Kasaragod- Thiruvananthapuram route.
