Temagami: East Wanapitei - Chiniguchi Expedition

We headed out on a 5 day (6 due to wind), 100km exploratory canoe trip to Western Temagami on the Canada Day Long weekend. Our journey to Chiniguchi and the East Wanapitei River was challenging to say the least! For starters, I seemed to forget a few non-essential toiletries at home. This was followed by several things malfunctioning or breaking mid-trip. Throw in some rough portages and a 2 kilometer long bushwhack, clouds of bugs, ever changing weather, a lengthy river journey and being windbound for an additional day and you've got quite the trip!
