Bhuna Gosht is a popular Indian and Pakistani dish known for its rich and flavorful slow-cooked meat. Here's a basic recipe for making Bhuna Gosht:
Ingredients:
Half kg mutton or lamb, cut into pieces
4 large onions, finely sliced
4 tomatoes, finely chopped
1 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
1/2 cup plain yogurt
1/4 cup cooking oil or ghee
1 teaspoons red chili powder (adjust to taste)
half teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoons coriander powder
1 teaspoon cumin powder
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Fresh ginger, julienned, for garnish
Instructions:
Cooking the Meat:

Heat oil or ghee in a heavy-bottomed pan or pressure cooker.
Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
Add the remaining ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a couple of minutes until the raw smell disappears.
Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they become soft and the oil starts to separate.

Add Spices:
Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, cumin powder.
Stir well and cook the masala on medium heat until the oil separates from it.
Lower the heat to medium, cover the pan, and let the meat cook in its juices until tender. Stir occasionally.

Slow Cooking:
If using a pressure cooker, after the initial cooking on medium heat, close the lid and cook for a few more whistles until the meat is fully tender.

Final Touch:
Adjust salt and spice levels according to your taste.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and julienned ginger.
Serve:
Bhuna Gosht is traditionally served with naan, roti, or steamed rice.
