We review the Canon G7X and compare it to the S120 and test how the two popular powershot high definition video cameras perform day and night vlogging in London. We do an unboxing of the camera, install the battery NB-13L a memory card and then hit the streets of London and vlog with it during the day and in low light at night and compare the sound and audio of both models. The G7X also can video in 60fps full 1080p HD - most reviews compare the G7X to the Sony RX100iii but we thought it would be interesting to compare it to the S120 instead to find the best vlogging camera 2015 The battery life of the G7X is a considerable improvement on the S120. The compact nature of the cameras means compact batteries, they will take still photos for days but the S120 will only film continuously on one charge (with a genuine battery in good condition) for just over 30 minutes. The G7X films continuously for 16 - 26.30 minutes depending on settings & conditions and will film for around 1 in total hour on one charge. I purchased a spare battery when I ordered the G7X, having always used Canon compacts to vlog, I was aware how long battery life was in previous models and I didn't expect such an improvement. I'm sure it will come in handy to avoid down time as charging time is also much longer.
