In tonight's top story: At least 36 people have been killed across Ukraine in one of the deadliest series of Russian attacks in months. One target was the country's largest children's hospital. Russia is denying it targeted the hospital or any civilians, while Kyiv's mayor has declared Tuesday a "day of mourning." With the Olympics just weeks away, France may be facing a long period of political uncertainty. The snap election, called by President Emmanuel Macron, has ended in a hung parliament. And while a coalition on the left may have won the most seats, the far-right received more votes than any other. Redmond Shannon has that story.

And finally, Nova Scotians living on the province's south shore captured nature at work this weekend, as multiple white sharks were caught feasting on a humpback whale carcass. As Megan King reports, the video is a prime example of the circle of life in action.
