Yasmeen Ghauri was one of the best discoveries that came from producing content for my YouTube channel. In the 90s, Yasmeen Ghauri was considered by many the queen of the catwalk, while she also starred in major fashion campaigns for International luxury houses. While she retired early and did not pursue a career in the spotlight, this Canadian-born German-Pakistani beauty pioneered an era of POC representation in luxury fashion. While models like Naomi Campbell and Tyra Banks became more famous for their trailblazing efforts, they both acknowledge Yasmeen Ghauri as the force to be reckoned with on the runway.
Although she's seemingly been off the grid for years after retiring in 1997 to start a family with her lawyer husband, Yasmeen recently caused a stir when she joined Instagram!
