The Pakistan Air Force expected to add a total of 75 fighter aircraft, including 50 JF-17 block 3 fighter jets, built jointly with China to replace old aircraft, and 25 J-10c 4++ fighter jets will also join the Pakistan air force and will perform on 23rd march Pakistan Day parade. These fighter aircraft are highly upgraded and feature semi stealth capability, according to many analysts, these inductions performed against recent inductions of Indian air force fighter jets, and the S-400 missile defence system.

JF 17 block 3’s rollout ceremony was held in December 2021, and also expected that new JF-17 block 3 jets will fly with Pakistan’s first 4++ fighter jets at the national day military parade on March 23.

Pakistan’s JF-17 production began in the late 1980s, in a $500 million China-Pakistan joint venture. More than 135 of the aircraft have been commissioned into the P A F since 2007, in late 2020, 14 dual-seat aircraft, manufactured with Pak-China cooperation were also handed over to the P A F. These will also be used for training and as light attack aircraft.

The airframes, front fuselage, wings, and vertical stabilizer were built by the state-owned Pakistan Aeronautical Complex. Other components were supplied by China's Chengdu Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of the state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China. All assembly takes place in Pakistan.
