The Irish Vocation Crisis - Mattie Newell

Happy New Year! On tonight's Fireside, we have the recorded testimony of Mattie Newell, an Irish lad from County Monaghan. Growing up in a normal traditionally Catholic family, he fell away from the faith before the Lord drew him back and called him to follow Him.
The Church in Ireland is currently facing a crisis in the number of vocations joining the seminary, and Mattie's journey is a spark of light, hope, and encouragement for those who are discerning and hesitating to take the leap to answer the call. “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray therefore the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” - John 9:37-38
