Join me as we explore Huizhou's West Lake District, a hidden gem in China's enormous geography. My recent stay at the My Garden Hotel, a charming yet modern refuge in this lovely environment, changed my view of travel and exploration. This video chronicles my adventures in Huizhou, notably its West Lake area, which blends natural beauty and cultural diversity.
The quiet and beautiful West Lake District is ideal for anyone seeking serenity and adventure. Huizhou has everything a traveler wants, from beachfront resorts to mountaintop hot springs. My adventure began with a lovely drive from Zhongshan, demonstrating its accessibility and charm. The My Garden Hotel, located in a tiny village near West Lake, became my retreat, offering luxury and convenience for $40 a night.
Despite its low price, the hotel has excellent amenities. Japanese-style toilets and a full laundry area show that excellence and value can coexist. Pastel hues and light wood make the inside cozy and friendly for guests. Attention to detail extends to the hotel's surroundings, where the active village life and calm West Lake make for a memorable visit.
My West Lake exploration was a cultural and historical journey. From the no-fly zone to the peaceful lake walks, each step highlighted the area's rich history and contemporary relevance. Having to cancel our stay at the V Hotel owing to unanticipated restrictions led us to the My Garden Hotel and the West Lake District's unique appeal.
