How to downgrade your Geometry Dash version to 2.204/2.1 for Geode and MegaHack!

Before doing any of this, MAKE A BACKUP of your data:
1. [steam directory]\steamapps\common\Geometry Dash
2. C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\GeometryDash
3 (optional). C:\Users\[user]\AppData\Local\Octavus - MegaHack data

For example, if downgrading to 2.1, you’ll have to backup data in those folders in order to save your progress, as otherwise it will be overwritten!

To disable automatic update: cog or RMB → properties → updates → set “automatic updates” to "only update this game when I launch it"
To find .exe file: cog or RMB → manage → browse local files
(or just find it on your PC) → start GeometryDash.exe

01:33 step 2: download your version
01:42 step 3: launch it
01:51 step 4: fill out all fields (https:// steamdb.info) (see above for values)
02:55 step 5: click download and wait
03:43 step 6: step 6: alongside .exe file, create steam_appid.txt file with 322170 in it
