In this simple tutorial, we cover how to quickly add text to video, how to add custom text, change the font, size and style and how to add automatic subtitles to a video online. This method will work for any videos, including Youtube, TikTok and Instagram.

How to Add Text to a Video - Step by Step
Go to Veed.io and select Upload Your Video, then Upload a File. Select your video and hit Open. Your file will then appear in the video timeline.
Select the Text icon in the lefthand toolbar and choose from the presets in the text edit menu.
Selecting one of the presets will automatically drop a text box on top of your video. In the menu you can also type what you want your text to say. You can also change the font, size and colour.
You can also adjust the positioning of the text by clicking and dragging the text box on the canvas.
To change the timings for when the text appears in the video, just just and drag the ends of the text box in the video timeline.
To export, go to the top right hand corner of the editor and hit Export, then export video. On the next page you can review your edit and if you are happy, hit download MP4 to download your video.
