Danielle Was Diagnosed With HPV and Shares Her Story in Preventing Cervical Cancer

14 years ago, Danielle, who was then 24 years old, went into her regular annual check-up appointment feeling completely fine, however, her pap test results came back showing as irregular. She went back to her doctor for a biopsy for them to learn more, which confirmed her diagnosis of having HPV and was considered high-risk with pre-cancerous cells. This resulted in two surgeries to remove the cells, followed by a procedure that removed her cervix which got rid of the pre-cancerous cells. Today, all of her pap tests have been clear and she feels lucky to have caught her diagnosis so early.
