I learnt the secret to amazing GreenStalk planter soil!

My Greenstalks vertical planter is one of my favorite things in my entire garden.  It brings me so much joy, it's so beautiful!   The smart invention and high quality material that will last for many many years is baked into the product, and the only thing that you need to do is get the soil right! Any good quality potting soil is a good base but, the key to great soil for your GreenStalk is to ensure that it is well draining and super light and fluffy.   The root system from your plants will quickly take over, and you will have a thriving plant!  This also means that you will need to amend the soil every year for best results. I like to dump out all the soil once a year, and add a few of my favorite amendments namely compost, some slow release fertilizer, a bit of perlite, and my secret ingredient, worm castings.  I throw in some fresh leaves for food measure (makes me feel like I am providing my worms with at least a few tasty meals!).  Then just fill the GreenStalk all the way back up, and you're good to go!
