I’m heading to Madrid’s famous La Casa del Abuelo in Madrid, Spain to learn how to cook one of Spain’s iconic tapas, gambas al ajillo (garlic shrimp or garlic prawns). These guys have been making this dishes for decades, and they do the best ones I’ve had in Spain. This is a dish you can cook in about 5 minutes. And in this video you’ll see Javi cook them in the corner of the bar practically in real time. So come with me to truly discover Spanish food. Watch, learn and drool!
The ingredients:
10 or so shrimp (or less if they’re large)
One or two dry chillies
4 cloves of garlic, chopped
Handful of fresh parsley, chopped
Virgin or extra virgin olive oil
Salt
