Seattle Stories - "Space", person currently experiencing homelessness

Space originated in Fresno, CA, and spent her formative years under the care of her grandparents. Despite having family around, she never truly found a place she could call home, often running away, once even went on a search of her elusive mother. High school presented its own challenges, with the family finding themselves in dire straits, living beneath a bridge. Eventually, the hardships led Space to drop out, and she discovered a semblance of solace in the company of like-minded individuals during her travels to where ever they took her. As life unfolded, Space faced the complexities of substance use, finding temporary relief and escape. A recent stint in rehab offered a glimmer of hope, but the harsh realities of the streets, coupled with a toxic relationship, lured her back into addiction. Now, she navigates the harshness of street life, grappling with the daily struggle for survival.
