This video is about Continental LX25's VS. Pirelli All Season Verde MPG Challenge! #Continental #Pirelli. The Pirelli tires destroyed the Continentals in this test. So here are the cost savings based on fuel mileage.
Assumes 30,000 miles on tire and fuel prices at a conservative $2.25 a gallon.
Continental LX25's would consume 1,421.80 gallons of fuel based on 21.1 MPG. This results in a 30,000 mile fuel cost of $3,199.05.
Pirelli All Season Verde's would consume 1,260.504 gallons of fuel based on 23.8 MPG. This results in a 30,000 mile fuel cost of $2,836.13.
Savings would be $362.92.
Both tires are listed at TireRack.com for $239 per tire. So in 30,000 miles you could save the cost of 1.5 tires by purchasing the Pirelli's.
Remember...this analysis is based on the MPG numbers I listed, 21.1 and 23.8 which can likely only be achieved with responsible driving on the highway for a 2018 Expedition Max.
