While searching the Internet for various crafts, I found out about a field of handmade toys with a structure called "paper mainsprings." Many people had uploaded videos of toys and cars using "paper mainsprings" on YouTube. I thought it would be interesting to realize the structure of this "paper mainspring" using A4 copy paper and also make it possible to change the chassis like a Mini 4WD. I started thinking about the structure. First, I thought of a "spooled tank." I decided to try making this using copy paper and paper mainsprings. When I actually made it, the arms were too weak and it didn't work well, and the tires would slip. So I thought I needed to make the structure a little stronger, and came up with the structure of this chassis. I was able to make a strong structure by connecting the arms of the "spooled tank" with a "paper top plate". However, this time the tires slipped and it couldn't move properly. In other people's videos, rubber was used on the tire to increase friction and make the paper wind-up wheel move. I'd like to try using rubber later, but since the basic craft is still copy paper, I thought it might be possible to make a tire that works well within the dimensions of the "copy paper". I happened to see the phenomenon where the machine moved forward a little when the end of the paper wind-up of the prototype came into contact with the ground, so I thought that if I could reproduce the discontinuous part at the end of the wind-up of the spring in the tire, the machine might move forward.
