This video explains my original TradingView indicator, Dow Theory Trend Direction Visualizer, including the major features of the indicator and how to use Dow Theory in trading.
Multi-time frame analysis(a.k.a Top down analysis) and identifying market's direction is the foundation of trading. I hope this video helps you understand how to use DowTheory.
🟦What is Dow Theory?
Dow Theory is market behavior analysis method developed by Charles Dow; a founder of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones & Company, Inc. and organized and represented by William Peter Hamilton in the early 20th century.
Dow Theory consists of six tenets clarifying the definition of trends, three key movements of the market and three phases in major market trends and other elements related to trend definition.
Dow discovered these principles, analyzing mainly stock market activities and it is still widely used in various asset markets as technical analysis methodology.

What is difficult for traders, especially when you are beginner, is to identify trend occurrence, continuation and reversal.
This indicator visualizes trend directions by changing background colors based on Dow Theory so that traders can visually grasp the market's direction and trends.
