Some people are suggesting that AI might not reduce jobs as many people fear. Instead, the technology might turn out to be more like the technological developments of the past, such as the steam engine, electricity or the internet. NASA says it has confirmed the existence of a hidden electric field surrounding Earth. Researchers writing in Nature said the mission suggests the field helps counter Earth’s gravity and could may help scientists better understand our planet’s evolution. The finding is meant to find out more about electrically charged particles above the Earth’s poles. Scientists say there are three fields that affect Earth: the gravitational, the magnetic and the electric fields. Ashley asks why did it take so long to “confirm” the presence of an electrical field about the poles.
