June 2 -- The South African Air Force's 28 Squadron is celebrating its 70th Anniversary this weekend.
The squadron is known for flying the C130 cargo plane. 
This weekend also marks 50 years since the Air Force first started using the C130.
But if the defence minister gets her way, these ageing air planes won't be around much longer.
