Penn Rail Videos takes you back almost one year ago when we visited the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad to attend a Lerro Productions photographer's special.
For this event, 2-8-0 #734 was renumbered to #729 for a day, and used in various services. In this video, we'll see the #729 leading a freight train at various locations along the old Western Maryland. We'll see famous spots like Sunnyside, Brush Tunnel, Helmstetter's Curve, and also over in Ridgely, WV. We'll even see some unique footage of the train at night, thanks to the lighting effects provided by Lerro Productions.
If you like railroading in the peak of the autumn season, and the sounds of steam echoing through the Allegheny Mountains, then this video will be one that you'll enjoy very thoroughly. There's a reason why they call #734 "Mountain Thunder".
