Woman Dies From Fungal Meningitis Tied to Plastic Surgery

Lauren Robinson wanted to fix a botched breast augmentation surgery from years ago that left her scarred. The 29-year-old woman decided to go to a clinic in Matamoros, Mexico, for the procedure. In addition, she got a Brazilian butt lift and liposuction. A few days later, she started to feel terrible. Doctors determined that Robinson contracted fungal meningitis that's believed to be either from anesthesia or unsterilized equipment. She died three months after the surgery.
